Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Credentialing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining internal credentialing files for our clinical staff, as well as coordinating and submitting credentialing to external vendors, including insurance, post-acute care facilities and hospitals. This role reports to the Practice Manager and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Summit Medical Consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage credentialing processes for all clinical staff, ensuring compliance with guidelines and standards.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and coordinate all aspects of credentialing for assigned facilities and payer credentialing partners.
  • Review and audit credentialing applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Coordinate timely submission of provider credentialing applications to external vendors and facilities.
  • Communicate credentialing changes to facilities and providers on a regular basis.
  • Monitor turnaround times for processing credentialing applications and escalate issues as needed.
  • Provide updates to Owners and Leadership on credentialing status at assigned facilities.
  • Participate in process improvements for credentialing procedures.
  • Manage provider access to facility EHR systems and practice systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of credentialing requests and activities.
  • Drive to facilities or other practice locations as required.
  • Participate in Admin On Call rotation.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of credentialing experience, preferably in the post-acute facility setting.
  • Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently in a high pace environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
